On June 30, 2020, the Barbados Government announced the introduction of the 12-month Barbados Welcome Stamp.
This new remote work programme establishes a visa to allow people to work remotely in Barbados for a maximum for 12 months.
The visa is available to anyone who can meet the visa requirements and whose work is location independent, whether individuals or families.
In order to become eligible for a welcome stamp work permit,
a non-national prospective holders must sufficiently illustrate that the permit
will be used for the purposes of working remotely from Barbados where
employed in another jurisdictions.

Fees
Upon Approval of the welcome stamp work permit application,
the following non-refundable fees are applicable:
• For the Individual Applicant – USD $2,000.00
• For an Individual application with dependents –
USD $3,000.00
• Individual members of the same family who wish
to work remotely, each such individual shall pay the
fee of USD $2,000.00

NB: INTEGRAL TO THE WELCOME STAMP WORK PERMIT APPLICATION IS THE ILLUSTRATION
THAT THE APPLICANT EXPECTS TO EARN AN INCOME OF USD $50,000.00 OR MORE OVER THE
12 MONTHS AND/ OR HAS THE MEANS TO SUPPORT THEIR SPOUSE AND ANY DEPENDENTS
ACCOMPANY THEM DURING THEIR STAY IN BARBADOS.
